Praised at San Sebastian International Film Festival and Tokyo International Film Festival! Design and art direction for the title logo design and overseas promotional advertisements for "Along the Sea," a film depicting the resolve and lives of Vietnamese women in Japan, portrayed with breathtaking realism. With the global development of the advertisement in mind, we expressed the world of the movie in a minimalistic and vivid impression. The ad was used at the world premiere of the 68th San Sebastian International Film Festival, as well as at the 33rd Tokyo International Film Festival and the 42nd Cairo International Film Festival.
[Story] Three women from Vietnam, Anh, Nhu, and Phong. They had been working in Japan as technical interns for three months, but one night they attempted to escape from the harsh work environment. Relying on their broker, they ended up in a port town deep in snow. Although frightened by the situation of working illegally, they started working hard for their families back home and for a happy future. ...... The film features Vietnamese women who came to Japan in search of a better life, and depicts their struggle against harsh reality while dreaming of a sparkling future.
